Every year, since 2013, with the exception of lock down, I have stayed at this Hotel. And I love it! It's a beautiful building, in an excellent location for walking to the Hydro, which is where my convention is held annually. Sitting down all day at the convention, it's great to have a brisk walk to and from the arena each day, and a beautifully cooked meal to round off the day. Perfectly balanced. I can personally recommend the Lamb Curry and the Steak, which I enjoyed on two of the evenings during my stay. The menu has something for everyone to enjoy. I've stayed in a different room each year I have visited, and every room has been wonderful. Clean, good facilities, super soft pillows and beautifully made beds. It's a shame to get in and spoil them! My rooms have been located at the front and the back of the hotel and all of them have had enormous windows, letting in lots of natural light, just right for reading, writing and knitting. I was always expecting to find the rooms noisy, being by a busy road, but they haven't been, surprisingly. A 55" television in the room this time was a lovely surprise. This year, the hotel is sporting the Best Western logo, but it is still family owned and run in the same caring way and with attention to detail that is not normally found in hotel chains. The new carpet in the reception is magnificent too. This morning when it was time for me to check out and make my way home again, I was greeted by two lovely members of the team on reception, who explained to me that I didn't have to dread the walk to the bus station with my heavy case, because there was an airport bus (no. 77) due in a few minutes which would deliver me straight there. My case was carried down the steps for me, and I crossed the road to wait for the bus and what joy to be whisked along the road on a 10 minute ride instead of a much longer slog , dragging my case.

The staff were exceptional i can't recommend this place enough. This is a budget friendly hotel. The staff go over and above for the comfort of their guests. On arrival the reception was quite dark which made me worry at first but we were very pleasantly surprised it was lovely. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. We stayed in room 107 it was very clean and tidy. Spotless bathroom the bed was so comfortable. We had a tv remote and hairdryer as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is a small bar in the reception. The main restaurant was being renovated on our stay. Breakfast was amazing. Large selection of hot and cold food, teas, coffee and fruit juice. Staff couldn't do enough for us.

Well, both my wife and I are disabled and use scooters to get around. After the taxi drivers picked us up (but would not load and unload the scooters or most of the luggage instead dropping and breaking the scooters) the staff at the hotel picked up the pieces, took them inside. put them back together, signed us in and took us to our disability room. They helped us to understand and to get around Glasgow, the tours, places & history, where to go, the restarants and the next Hotel in London. They have been very good to us.

The location is fantastic! It’s only a 10 minute walk to downtown, a five minute walk to University, a 10 minute walk up Byers Road, etc. The staff is also incredibly nice and helpful. I have stayed there probably 10 times in the past 10 years, and the quality of service is consistently excellent. Even though there was a change in ownership and name, I’m delighted to report the excellent value has remained the same. They actually seem to care that you enjoy your stay!

Location was excellent for us as we have family in Finnieston and Partick. Hotel was very clean and the staff were lovely. Our room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet so we had no problem sleeping. After a shaky start with the heating and a chat with reception our room was lovely and warm. Reception staff always had a lovely greeting and a smile for us whenever we were on our way out and on our way in. We had a very enjoyable 6 nights stay.
